New EGHRIN newsletter

EGHRIN is pleased to announced the launch of a regular newsletter, prepared in collaboration with SEC Newgate . Our bi-annual newsletter provides a summary of network activities, including key achievements by member institutions.  The newsletter will be mailed to members and available for public download from EGHRIN's newly updated website.

Recent activity

EGHRIN organised its first online seminar on the topic of “Pandemic preparedness: A whole-of-society approach”. Led by Anne-Mieke Vandamme, (KU Leuven), with Ana Antic (University of Copenhagen) and Heidi Larson and Leesa Lin (The Vaccine Confidence Project) as speakers,  Antoni Plàsencia (ISGlobal) facilitated the seminar, which covered multiple dimensions of pandemic preparedness.  The seminar was attended by more than XXX delegates from an estimated YYY countries.  More information and ISGlobal coverage of the Seminar can be found on the EGHRIN website.

Our first joint report with the League of European Research Universities (LERU), on “Healthy People, Healthy Societies: An Integrated Approach” was recently published on our website. This report follows last year’s successful Town Hall Meeting of the same name, which brought together XXX experts from YY institutions to workshop key challenges and set priorities for a coordinated institutional response from Europe.

What's coming up?

EGHRIN will be attending the upcoming European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health (ECTMIH) in Utrecht between November 20 and 23. The topic of this session will be the recently presented EU Global Health Strategy currently under negotiations by the Council representing EU national governments. The session is sponsored by AIGHD and ISGlobal.
