We are delighted to welcome Oxford University to the EGHRIN network, joining Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (NOVA University of Lisbon), University of Porto, and the French Research Institute for Development (IRD) as our newest members.

Key Engagements:

EGHRIN actively participated in the EU Global Health R&I Exchange, hosted by DSW in Brussels on November 25, 2024, alongside leading global health advocates and institutions. Key discussions centered on ensuring the EU’s continued support for global health research in the forthcoming FP10 program.


- A meeting with the Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) led to the beginning of a collaboration.
Recent Events

3rd EGHRIN Seminar:

The third seminar, addressing the EU Pharma Package, provided a forum for critical discussions on legislative frameworks and their implications for global health innovation.

World Health Summit Participation
EGHRIN, in collaboration with GLOHRA, led a workshop titled “Turning Strategy into Action: Global Health Research in the Light of the EU Global Health Strategy”. This event highlighted our strategic priorities on the global stage.

Launch of the EGHRIN Research Funding Group, which meets monthly.

The University of Milan is a public, multidisciplinary teaching and research institution that offers 8 Faculties, 2 Schools, 136 study courses, 31 Doctoral Programmes and 63 Specialisation Schools. It houses the Centre for Multidisciplinary Research in Health Science (MACH), that is an international landmark and leading centre for health research with a special, but not exclusive, interest in infectious diseases within a global and multidisciplinary perspective. Within MACH, global health is prioritised through a team devoted to global health didactics and research.
